Who Am I?

Lighter Matters.

Literally.  We are moving on to a topic that is lighter.  This is a mystery in my life right now...

These are my jeans.  The top pair are the jeans I wore most of last fall and winter.  The bottom pair is my current go-to jean.

On both of these pants you will notice a lighter coloring on my left knee.  (The most recent one looks like the right knee is showing similar wear. But no where near the effect the left knee has.)

Why?

Yes, I am serious.  Why is this happening?

My guess is crossing one leg over the other did it....just a thought.

My first guess was chlorox with bleach...do you wear these jeans when doing chores? I have found I have one leg that rests on the tub while I scrub... But the leg crossing theory makes more sense.

I discovered that when I kneel to pick up toys, wipe up something on the floor, etc., I put only one knee on the ground and keep the other foot planted. Maybe that's what you're doing? I wore through the jeans on the "kneeling" side. : )

A friend who has not commented yet thought that perhaps I had one knee that was more acidic than the other one. I think Rachel may win the pretend contest.

Ha! Ha! I still think one side of your body is more acidic!! : ) I also think that you might favor one knee when putting children in/out of van OR perhaps it is all the stuff that you are putting in the van for the house showings. I bet you kneel on one knee more than the other. Otherwise, my only other suggestion is that one knee is bigger (you know, sticks out more) and is rubbing your jeans. I don't know.

Of course, I meant "comet" not "chlorox," but that really doesn't improve my theory much. :) Life simply must have some mystery.

I love that you posted this! I have a weird clothing issue - three small holes on many of my 100% cotton shirts just near where a button on pants/jeans should be. But only on 100% cotton shirts. I was convinced it was moths since we have no screens out here (whole nother topic, don't get me started...) - but no issues w/out wool sweaters. Still remains a mystery. In your case, I'd guess kneeling more on one....funny, I noticed my jean's knees wearing out too - NEVER had that problem before ~3 years ago!
